Gameboard Borders?

The gameboard quilt top is now finished...or does it need borders? What do you think?  It is not a very useful size - about 36 inches square at the moment.  I do like things I make to have some use.  The Minick & Simpson pattern it is based on is a wall hanging.  Not sure what I think about wall hangings.  I think I will leave it on the wall as it is while I think about it.  My next project will be something with a definite use.

If I add to this I will need to buy some more fabric!

  1. This is a great quilt! I think it works just as it is but if you want to continue the game board theme you could add a border with Ludo spaces around the edge!

  2. It's lovely, but if the size bothers you you could add a bit of a border & then surround it with a nice bit of brown wood-grain fabric (as if it were sitting on table). Maybe applique some game pieces around the outside of the board?

  4. Looks great! I understand wanting everything to have a use. I once turned a mini into a clock. Keep us posted on what you come up with.

  5. This quilt looks great! I love the back ground fabric. If you want to use the background fabric for a simple border with a fine line of a solid ...I think would look great. Thanks for sharing stopping by from Crazy Mom Quilts
