Things We Do In Bed

Just heard today about this exhibition curated by novelist Tracy Chevalier.  She is American born but now lives in London and is a bit of a quilter; quilts feature in her latest book "The Last Runaway".

The exhibition is arranged in 5 themed rooms (birth, sleep, sex, illness and death ) and will be at Danson House in Kent from 1 April to 31 October. There will be old quilts from the 18th and 19th centuries as well as new work - Grayson Perry is mentioned.  I have never been to this house but it can't be far from London.

Definitely going.  If photos are allowed, I will share them here.

  1. My son is getting married in September in Kent so I will be adding this exhibition to my list of things to do whilst we are in the area! Thanks for the tip off :)

  2. Sounds very interesting but no plans to travel from the US to London, although I would definitely love to go back again sometime! Please DO show us some pics if you're able.

I really appreciate comments and encouragement, and will reply by email unless you are a "no reply blogger". Thank you.
